This course examines Surat al-Kahf, chapter 18, of the Quran. The lessons build on the methods and practices of tafsir discussed in the Into to Tafsir course. While there is no required prerequisite, Intro to Tafsir is highly recommended to best understand Quranic exegesis and interpretation of Quranic verses. Surat al-Kahf is a beautiful chapter of the Quran with multiple stories and wise lessons on the belief in one God and the power of faith. Sayed Saleh studied in the Seminary of Qom from 2006-2013, and he recently completed an MA in Near Eastern Studies from Wayne State University. He also completed a BA in Sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a speaker and lecturer.
